Who We Are

Veritas Research is an independent think tank that performs analysis on multiple policy areas enabling the formation of long-term strategies for the country of Cyprus.

The research areas include, but are not limited to, the areas of the Economy, Society, Education, Technology, Energy and Politics.

Our goal is to help the country of Cyprus to nurture modern European values by strengthening policies that drive the country to this direction and by weakening the forces that oppose it. We believe that Human Dignity, Freedom, Democracy, Equality, Rule of Law and Human Rights, the values that the EU was founded on, could not be taken for granted. Through research and strategic planning, long-term strategies can be formulated, and if implemented correctly, can allow the country and its citizens to flourish.

Our Values

Veritas is Latin for Truth. In Roman mythology, Veritas was the goddess of truth, a daughter of Saturn and the mother of Virtue. Veritas was considered one of the main virtues any good Roman should possess. In Greek mythology, Veritas was known as Aletheia (Αλήθεια).

For us, Veritas is more than truthfulness. Veritas represents a set of values that guide our actions. Our Code of Ethics is based on the timeless Aristotelean Values of Ethos, Integrity, Objectivity, Independence/Conflict-of-Interest Avoidance, Responsibility, Sincerity and Respect for the people and the environment.
